Elaina Athans - Reporter at ABC11 WTVD
Elaina Athans joined ABC11 Eyewitness News in February 2013 as a general assignment reporter and is thrilled to be a part of the most talented news team in the Triangle.

Before coming to ABC 11 Eyewitness News, Elaina was the lead reporter at YNN Hudson Valley. She was a charter member of the startup 24-hour local cable news channel located about an hour north of New York City. She provided extensive coverage of the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre, Hurricanes Sandy and Irene, and was generously invited to travel with World War II veterans on an Honor Flight to our nation's capital. Elaina was also an anchor and reporter at the ABC affiliate WMDT in Salisbury, Md. She additionally had worked WZBN in Trenton, N.J. and News 12 Long Island.

The Hofstra University graduate is originally from New Jersey. She now resides in Raleigh.
