Sean Coffey - Reporter at ABC11 WTVD
Sean Coffey joined the ABC11 Eyewitness News team as a reporter in March 2023, following stints working in Texas and Pennsylvania.

Prior to moving to Raleigh, Sean worked at WBRE-TV/WYOU-TV in Wilkes-Barre, PA - first as a reporter, then as a morning anchor. During his time in the Northeast, he covered two Presidential rallies, the 2020 election, record-breaking snowstorms, and the Little League World Series.

Before that, Sean was a sports anchor and reporter in Victoria, TX, where he was lucky enough to cover major events like the 2019 World Series - in addition to some amazing high school football, of course. During the pandemic, he shifted his focus to news full-time, working as a reporter and anchor.

A Westchester County, NY native, Sean's journalism roots run deep. His dad is a best-selling author who worked as a New York City sportswriter for 30 years, and his sister covers the Phillies for the Philadelphia Inquirer. He's thrilled to be living and working in the Triangle - where he's back in the world of amazing BBQ - and can't wait to explore everything the area has to offer.

You can catch Sean at any number of local restaurants, or at the gym trying to burn it all off. If you see him out and about, don't hesitate to say hello!
