DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- The Durham Police Department is investigating after a man was killed on Monday evening.
Police said Tuesday that the investigation revealed the victim had been stabbed. It's the second deadly stabbing along the American Tobacco Trail in as many months.
On March 9, in nearly the same spot, a 51-year-old man was stabbed to death on this trail. Earlier in April, a 46-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with that death.
Monday's attack happened around 6:30 p.m. in the 3000 block of Fayetteville Street. The victim, identified Tuesday as Howard Reade, 44, was rushed to a hospital but was later pronounced dead.
The incident happened near a bus stop. Evidence markers led from a nearby store to the trail

There's no word yet on a suspect.
